הפיל עוזב את חבריו ויוצא להגשים את החלום. בתחילת מסעו הוא פוגש ציפור רבת צבעים ויופי שעוזרת לו לאסוף את הצבעים. את האדום תורמת החיפושית, מר דשא נותן ירוק והפרחים נותנים עוד שלל צבעים. עכשיו הוא פיל מאושר צבעוני ומיוחד. אבל השמחה קצרה, הוא מרגיש מוזר כשחבריו צוחקים עליו וחושבים שהוא ליצן קרקס. רק אז הוא מבין כי לא הצבע חשוב. הפיל שרצה להיות הכי - על קבלה עצמית ועל הרצון והזכות להיות שונה ומיוחד.
