משפחתה של קרן צריכה לעזור לורד כשקורות לה כל מיני תאונות מוזרות. למשל, ורד סיפרה את הבובה של קרן ו"גזרה" לעצמה קצת את האצבע. אחר כך כמעט טבעה באמבטיה, כי רצתה לראות אם היא יכולה לחיות מתחת למים כמו הדגים של קרן. מזל שאבא של קרן היה רופא. הכי גרוע היה כשורד נעלמה. רק אז הבינה קרן כמה היא חסרה לה.
